The Shaykh : Good, in this hadith there is evidence for several benefits. The virtue of al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) in serving the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the permissibility for a person to dismount from his mount while it is standing, based on his statement: "he dismounted from his mount", and it is not mentioned that he made it kneel.
And in it is evidence for the recommendation of going far into an open space when relieving oneself, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went until he was hidden from him.
And in it is evidence for carrying water for ablution, because al-Mughirah had a vessel with him containing water with which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform ablution.
And in it is evidence for the permissibility of a person seeking the help of another in ablution, because al-Mughirah was pouring the water for the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) ablution.
And in it is also evidence for the permissibility of using another person's help if that person does not complain about it, rather, if that person is pleased with this matter, then the prohibition against asking people is specific to such a situation. That is, if you see that when you order another person to serve you in something, he is pleased with it and rejoices in it, then this is not considered asking people, because asking people is prohibited only for what reason? For the favor people have over you. But in this case, you are the one who is doing a favor for the people.
And in it is also the obligation of washing the four limbs, based on his statement: "he washed his face and his hands", yes, "and wiped his head". So the head is wiped, and the face and hands are washed. As for the feet, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped over his leather socks because he had put them on in a state of purity.
And in this, in the hadith, there is also evidence that it is a condition for the permissibility of wiping that the feet be put on in a state of purity, based on his statement:
For I put them on in a state of purity فإني أدخلتهما طاهرتين
.
And in it is evidence that wiping for the wearer of leather socks is better than washing, based on his statement:
Leave them دعهما
, so he ordered him to leave them.
But if he wore them in order to wipe, is he allowed to wipe? The answer is: Yes, he is allowed to wipe, because the original purpose of wearing leather socks is for wiping, and this man wore them in order to wipe. Yes, what is the point of this hadith, for the chapter? What is the point in this hadith for the chapter?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : And he was wearing a woolen shirt. Yes, yes.
