The Shaykh : The manner of the writing is this: Muhammad is at the bottom, Messenger is above it, Allah is above that, Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah. This is its manner: three lines. Yes, Muhammad is one line, and Messenger is one line, and Allah is one line.
That the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to write to a group, or people from among the non-Arabs, so it was said to him: "They do not accept a letter unless it has a seal on it." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made a seal of silver, engraved with: Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah. It is as if I see the gleam, or the glint of the seal on the finger of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or in his palm.
