Benefits of the Hadith: (… from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
This hadith appears, and Allah knows best, to indicate that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the market and Hasan entered with him. Hasan was a small child. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to leave, it seems he looked back and did not find or see Hasan with him, so he said:
Where is Laka'? أين لكع؟
. "Laka'" is originally a term of reproach, but it is used in such occasions without the intention of reproach, just as one might say "May your right hand be barren" or "May your hands be barren," where the literal meaning is not intended, or "May your mother be bereaved of you."
He said:
Where is Laka' أين لكع
Then he said:
Invite ادع
meaning he called out to him. So Hasan came. Hasan stood up and walked, wearing a necklace. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured with his hands like this. It appears to me, and Allah knows best, that he said "like this," so the boy also said "like this." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) embraced him and said:
O Allah, behold, I love him. Thou too love him and love one who loves him. اللهم إني أحبه فأحبه وأحب من أحبه
Sahih Muslim 2421a
(may Allah be pleased with him). This is among the virtues of Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib. He has many virtues, including the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
This son of mine is a sayyid , and perhaps God m ay reconcile two large parties of Muslims by means of him. إن ابني هذا سيد وسيُصلح الله به بين فئتين عظيمتين من المسلمين
Mishkat al-Masabih 30:159
.
It is astonishing that the Rafidah exaggerate regarding Husayn ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) more than they love Hasan, even though Hasan is undoubtedly superior to him. Both are the masters of the young men of Paradise, but each has degrees according to what they did. There is a difference between the one who renounced the caliphate to reconcile the Muslims and unite their word, and the one who suffered what he suffered until even those closest to him abandoned him. The people who went out with Husayn ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) are the ones who abandoned him, until the soldiers of those fighting him took control of him. So, in conclusion, this is among the virtues of Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib.
It contains evidence that using words that imply reproach, when reproach is not intended, is permissible.
It contains evidence that one should embrace children and show tenderness toward them, because this undoubtedly engenders affection and compassion. A person who does not show mercy will not be shown mercy. Some people are repelled by children as if they were lions, and they never show affection to them or allow them to come near. When the children reach the place of the men, they rebuke them and say, "Go away, leave." This is a mistake. If we look at the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in embracing children, loving them, and being gentle with them, we know that this is how it should be. And by the permission of Allah, this softens the heart greatly, because a person feels, "Glory be to Allah, the Great Creator," or "Glory be to the All-Knowing Creator," seeing that this one is small and this one is large, this one is medium, this one is male and this one is female. From this, one infers the power of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). When you see the rows in the congregation, … this one is small, this one is an old man, and this one is in between, you know through this the wisdom of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and His creation, and this leads to an increase in faith and an increase in tenderness.
It is true that a person should not encourage children to the point where they become ill-mannered. However, making it so that they do not look at the men, and the men do not look at them, as if the men are lions and they are cats or mice, this is a mistake. Rather, it is obligatory to give them their due status and bring them joy from every angle. Yes.

The questioner : Shaykh?

The Shaykh : It contains evidence that we should love Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib with a special love, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made a supplication for whoever loves him, saying:
and love whoever loves him وأحب من أحبه
But this does not mean that we should prioritize his love over the love of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and his father Ali (may Allah be pleased with them), for these are undoubtedly superior to him. A person loves the believers according to their ranks, but we love this one with a special love.
We have passed through a very useful rule, which we mentioned in the creed of the people of the Sunnah and the community: if a person is distinguished by a specific characteristic, this distinction does not necessarily imply absolute superiority. It is possible that some of the less preferred have a characteristic that surpasses the preferred ones, but this does not establish absolute superiority. Yes.
