A benefit regarding Hajj from the hadith: (…so I do not exit the state of ihram until I slaughter [the sacrificial animal]).

The Shaykh : And in his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
I will not exit Ihram until I have offered the sacrifice لا أحل حتى أنحر
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2781
is a refutation of the statement by some scholars that it is permissible for the one performing tamattu' and the one performing qiran to slaughter the sacrificial animal before the day of the festival. The point of this is that if it had been permissible, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would have slaughtered his sacrificial animal and then exited the state of ihram, because that would have been more pleasing to the hearts of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). Since he did not do so, it is known that this is not valid; that is, it is not valid for the one performing tamattu' or the one performing qiran to slaughter their sacrificial animal before the day of the festival, whether they brought the sacrificial animal with them or not. Yes.
