The saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “I have anointed my head…,” do we tell the one performing qiran that he does not exit the state of ihram until he slaughters his sacrificial animal?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
I have stuck my hair and driven my sacrificial animal along with men and it is not permissible to put off Ihram (under this condition until I have sacrificed the animal. إني قد لبدت رأسه ، وقلدت هديي فلا أحل حتى أنحر هديي
Sahih Muslim 1229e
Do we tell the one performing qiran that he does not exit the state of ihram until he slaughters his sacrificial animal?

The Shaykh : Yes, if he has brought his sacrificial animal.

The questioner : If he has brought it.

The Shaykh : Yes, we say this.

The questioner : If he has performed tawaf and stoned the pillars, does he not exit the state of ihram?

The Shaykh : Yes, I mean, the apparent meaning of the hadith is that he does not exit the state of ihram, did you understand?

The questioner : Yes

The Shaykh : Well, the apparent meaning of the hadith is that one does not exit the state of ihram by stoning the Aqabah pillar on the day of the festival and shaving the head, and that it is necessary to slaughter the sacrificial animal if he has brought it. This opinion is not far-fetched: that if he has brought the sacrificial animal, he waits until he slaughters it. And the apparent meaning of the verse may support this:
And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter ولا تحلقوا رؤوسكم حتى يبلغ اللهدي محله
[Al-Baqarah 2:196]
But the majority of scholars hold that the ruling is the same for the one who has brought the sacrificial animal and the one who has not: that if he stoned the pillars and shaved his head, he exits the state of ihram.
The reader: The time has ended.

The Shaykh : We did not see you, Salim. I did not see you when I first arrived. I asked about you, but you did not respond.

The questioner : I was not present.

The Shaykh : Where are you?

The questioner : I did not come until after… I have a question for you.

The Shaykh : I mean, I was busy.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : And are you busy tonight as well?

The questioner : Yes, that is right.

The Shaykh : What Allah willed, may Allah bless you. I mean, one or two nights. May Allah protect you.
