This chain of narration is one we have not encountered in al-Bukhari before: "Uthman ibn al-Haytham, or Muhammad, narrated to us from him." It appears that al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) was uncertain whether Uthman narrated it to him or Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Dhuhli narrated it to him from him. This is rare in al-Bukhari; we have not come across it before. Do you have any comments on it?
