Benefits of the Hadith: ( ... Abdullah cursed the women who tattoo, the women who pluck their hair, and the women who separate their teeth for beauty, who alter the creation of Allah. So Umm Ya'qub said:

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : (may Allah be pleased with him), this is a precise understanding. He (may Allah be pleased with him), the issue is connected. First, Ibn Mas'ud cursed these women based on.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : the curse of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). So the Messenger also cursed them; they are cursed in the Book of Allah. In the Book of Allah? He cited as evidence for this
And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from
[Al-Hashr 59:7]
So everything that is in the Sunnah is in the Book of Allah. For this reason, we say to those who boast and deny what came in the Sunnah, and do not accept from the Sunnah except what is practical and mass-transmitted: you have also disbelieved in the Qur'an. Why? Because everything that is in the Sunnah is in the Qur'an, but it is general.
And what the Messenger has given you, take it
, in it also
He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah
[An-Nisa 4:80]
its meaning, and whoever disobeys the Messenger.
The student: Then he has disobeyed Allah.

The Shaykh : Then he has disobeyed Allah. So just as it is obligatory for us to believe in what is in the Qur'an, it is obligatory for us to believe in what is authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Sunnah, whether that is a command, which relates to rulings, or a report.
And for this reason, the established statement is that authentic ahad reports are to be acted upon in matters of creed just as they are acted upon in matters of rulings. And it has passed us that every ruling is accompanied by a creed. Every ruling is accompanied by a creed, because you do not do this thing unless you believe that it is from the legislation of Allah. If you prayed believing that it is not from the legislation of Allah, it would not benefit you. And likewise if you fasted.
So those who distinguish between creeds and practical rulings, their distinction is lost:
First: Because we say that everything authentic from the Messenger must have one ruling.
Second: We say that there is no ruling except that it is accompanied by a creed. You believe that the Zuhr prayer is obligatory and that its regular voluntary prayer is a recommended practice. This is necessary. It is not possible for you to believe that the Zuhr prayer is voluntary, nor that its regular voluntary prayer is obligatory. If you believe that, you are misguided. In fact, you are a disbeliever according to the opinion of the scholars, if you believe that what is known to be obligatory by necessity in the religion of Islam is a recommended practice, then that is disbelief. Good, precise.
And in this is also evidence for consulting the scholar. Umm Ya'qub was a woman, and Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) was among the jurists of the Companions, among their readers, and among their distinguished ones. He was the one who kept the toothpick and the cushion in service of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever wants to read the Qur'an fresh and green as it was revealed, let him read with the recitation of Ibn Umm 'Abd
, and it is agreed that he was among the jurists of the Companions and among their muftis. So he was one of the famous ones for issuing fatwas (may Allah be pleased with him). And yet the woman said to him: What is this? She said, when he said it is in the Book of Allah, that she had opened the mushaf from its beginning to its end and did not find it. What did he say to her? He said: "If you had read it, you would have found it" But she did not know from where it is taken. Otherwise, she had certainly read:
And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from
[Al-Hashr 59:7]
But she did not know that it is taken from it.
Good, and this resembles a story I mentioned to you previously with whom?
The student: Al-Shafi'i.

The Shaykh : Yes?
The student: Al-Shafi'i.

The Shaykh : Al-Shafi'i? What is it?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Muhammad 'Abduh to me, it is Muhammad 'Abduh and Muhammad ... following him is known. He entered a restaurant in France, and there was a Christian in it. The Christians love to disturb the creed of Muslims whenever they can. So he said to him: The Qur'an says, Allah the Exalted says in it:
And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things
[An-Nahl 16:89]
And show me in the Qur'an how this food is made. So the man said to him: Is this in the Qur'an? He said: Where? So he called the owner of the restaurant and said to him: How do you make this? He said: I say so and so and so, and he mentioned it. He said: This is in the Qur'an. So the man was amazed. He said: Because Allah said:
So ask the people of the message if you do not know.
[An-Nahl 16:43]
So what the Qur'an did not specify, it showed us how to guide ourselves to it. Yes. So the disbeliever was dumbfounded. But we ask Allah to answer for people like these intelligent ones. Yes.
It is possible that if a Christian came to one of the students of knowledge who does not have attention, yes, he said: We did not find in the Book, the Qur'an, anything. He said: By Allah, it is true ... there is not in the Qur'an how to make bread and bring this broth and bring, yes, this is not present. But that is the favor of Allah, which He gives to whom He wills.

The questioner : Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes. Good, in this hadith there is a contradiction with a known rule in grammar.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner : The yaa.

The Shaykh : Affirming the yaa "If you had read it" Yes "You would have found it" .

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Huh? ... Read it, it does not contradict.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : If you had read it, it does not contradict. It is not a problem. "You had read it," "You would have found it." The famous in the language of the Arabs is: If you had read it, you would have found it. But there is a weak language, but we were happy with it because if it is Arabic language, it becomes our customary Arabic language. Since one of us says: Did you see it? Did you see it? Did you find it? Yes. If he says: Did you see it? Did you find it? They do not say this. So in it, meaning, if someone said: What is this language that you have? We say: It is present in the language of the Arabs, but it is little. Yes.

The questioner : Shaykh? Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : ... Shaykh, a question?

The Shaykh : We mentioned it, O Adam. We mentioned it a little while ago. Yes? Ahmad?
