The Shaykh : Yes, it is possible to recite his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): It is possible that this is the gathering that takes place on the Day of Resurrection, meaning after they come out of their graves. It is also possible that it is the gathering by which people are gathered to the land of Sham, and this is the apparent meaning of the end of the hadith, where it says: "And the rest of them will be gathered by the Fire, it will rest with them wherever they rest," and so on. This is because the land of the gathering is the land of Sham, to which people are gathered when the Hour stands, so that there is death and the stunning, then the great gathering in which people are gathered for the Reckoning and the judgment between them on the Day of Resurrection. His saying: The difference between the one who desires and the one who fears is that the one who desires is a seeker, and the one who fears is a fugitive. The seeker is known to be one who is anxious about a thing he loves and seeks, whereas the one who fears is afraid of it and repelled by it. And we must listen to its explanation.
The people will be gathered in three ways: (The first way will be of) those who will wish or have a hope (for Paradise) and will have a fear (of punishment), (The second batch will be those who will gather) riding two on a camel or three on a camel or ten on a camel. (The third batch) the rest of the people will be urged to gather by the Fire which will accompany them at the time of their afternoon nap and stay with them where they will spend the night, and will be with them in the morning wherever they may be then, and will be with them in the afternoon wherever they may be then.
