The reciter: "Chapter: If a person embraces Islam through his efforts.
And al-Hasan did not consider him to have guardianship". And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The bond of loyalty belongs to the one who frees a slave الولاء لمن أعتق
. It is reported from Tamim al-Dari, traced to the Prophet, that he said:
He is the nearest to him in life and in death. هو أولى الناس بمحياه ومماته
Sunan Abi Dawud 2918Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani)
