Explanation of the Book of Inheritance, Fixed Punishments, and Blood Money-03b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Isma'il ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Malik narrated to me from Nafi' from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
The Wala' is for the manumitted (of the slave). إنما الولاء لمن أعتق
Sahih al-Bukhari 6752
.

The Shaykh : Al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) pointed to three sunnahs in this brief context regarding Barirah:
The first is the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Al-wala' (loyalty) belongs to the one who manumitted الولاء لمن أعتق
.
The second is that he gave her charity, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for some of it, so they told him: "It is meat that he gave as charity to Barirah," so he said:
That is a Sadaqa for her and a gift for us. هو لها صدقة ولنا هدية
Sahih Muslim 1074a
.
The third is that she was given the choice regarding her husband when she was manumitted, and we have previously discussed the disagreement in the narrations regarding whether he was a free man or a slave, and the correct view is that he was a slave.

The questioner : ...

The Shaykh : Do you mean the heading? What was mentioned in al-Fath?
