The reciter: Isma'il narrated to us, Malik ibn Anas narrated to me, from Nafi', the freed slave of 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both):
that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, cut off the hand of a man who stole a shield whose price was three dirhams. أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قطع في مجن ثمنه ثلاثة دراهم
