The reciter: And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, and Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us. And Ibn Numayr narrated to us, and my father narrated to us. And Ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, and Khalid—meaning Ibn al-Harith—narrated to us. And 'Ubayd Allah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, and Yahya—meaning al-Qattan—narrated to us. All of them narrated from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Umar. And Abu al-Rabi' and Abu Kamil both said: Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us. And Zuhayr ibn Harb narrated to me, and Isma'il narrated to us, all of them from Ayyub. And Muhammad ibn Rafi' narrated to me, and Ibn Abi Fadak narrated to us, and al-Dhahak—meaning Ibn 'Uthman—narrated to us. And Harun ibn Sa'id al-A'ili narrated to us, and Ibn Wahb narrated to us, and Usamah narrated to me. All of these narrated from Nafi' from Ibn 'Umar, similar to the hadith of al-Layth from Nafi'.
