The reciter: Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, Ishaq ibn Yusuf informed us, al-Fadl ibn Ghazwan informed us, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih al-Bukhari 6809.
Ikrimah said: I said to Ibn Abbas: How is faith removed from him? He said: "Like this, and he interlaced his fingers, then pulled them apart. If he repents, it returns to him like this, and he interlaced his fingers".
The Shaykh : This has been discussed previously, and we clarified that the people of the Sunnah hold that the meaning of such hadiths is that a person does not commit unlawful sexual intercourse while committing it and being a believer with complete faith, but rather he is a believer with deficient faith.
When a slave (of Allah) commits illegal sexual intercourse, he is not a believer at the time of committing it; and if he steals, he is not a believer at the time of stealing; and if he drinks an alcoholic drink, when he is not a believer at the time of drinking it; and he is not a believer when he commits a murder,
