The Shaykh : He says: The effeminate men are those whose dispositions are like the dispositions of women, meaning that he adopts the nature of a woman in his speech, his demeanor, and his clothing; this is the effeminate man. And the masculine women are those who imitate men. Each of them is cursed, because each of them intended to oppose Allah the Exalted in His creation. The woman wants to make herself a man, and the man wants to make himself a woman, so this falls under the category of changing Allah's creation by nature. As you know, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who tattoos, the one who gets tattooed, the one who plucks her eyebrows, the one who gets her eyebrows plucked, the one who files her teeth, the one who gets her teeth filed, and the women who spread their legs for beauty, because this is from the category of changing Allah's creation. A woman imitating men or a man imitating women is more severe, because the corruption in it is greater. And in it is evidence that the Shari'ah wants there to be a distinction between men and women in the community, contrary to what the ignorant among the disbelievers and others want, who want the woman and the man to be on equal footing. This is contrary to what Allah created the creatures with. Yes.
The Prophet (ﷺ) cursed the effeminate men and those women who assume the similitude (manners) of men. He also said, "Turn them out of your houses." He turned such-and-such person out, and `Umar also turned out such-and-such person.
