'Asim asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about a man who found a man with his wife: what should he do?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : 'Asim asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about a man who found a man with his wife: what should he do? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent regarding it. Then he came to him again and said: "Indeed, what I told you about has befallen me", meaning it happened. This suggests that he intended to inform that his first inquiry was about the occurrence of the matter, but what we have in this wording says, "I was not afflicted with this except because of my statement," which clarifies that the first question was a hypothetical matter, meaning if we suppose such a thing, and then this hypothetical thing occurred. This is because a person may be afflicted with what he says. An example of this is that a man said, "My father has come and will beat me," and his father had been displeased with him about something. Here, the beating occurs because he took an omen for himself regarding the occurrence of what he dislikes. It is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) a weak hadith that he said:
For affliction is assigned to speech إن البلاء موكل بالمنطق
But it is not authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Rather, experience indicates this: if a person takes an omen for himself regarding something, it may occur. In this regard, the poet says:
Beware of your tongue lest you speak and be afflicted *** For affliction is assigned to speech
And it is narrated:
Beware of your tongue, do not speak lest you be afflicted *** For affliction is assigned to speech
