Benefits of the Hadith: (Whoever raises a weapon against us is not one of us).

The Shaykh : This indicates that raising a weapon against a Muslim is one of the major sins, because it entails being severed from the community, and any sin that entails being severed from its doer is a major sin. This is like the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): And this is not because he becomes a disbeliever. The evidence for this is the saying of Allah the Exalted: And there is no fighting except by raising a weapon. And Allah made these two groups brothers, saying: .
