Does a person see his Lord in a dream in this world?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, I mean, regarding seeing Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in a dream, is it correct to say that it can happen to any of the believers?

The Shaykh : Seeing Allah the Exalted in a dream in this world—of course, there is no sleep in the Hereafter—this is mentioned in the hadith of the dispute of the highest assembly, which was narrated by the people of the Sunan. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw his Lord in a dream. As for seeing Allah for anyone other than the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I do not know that it is established, and I do not know whether it happens or not.
However, it has been mentioned that Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him) saw his Lord in a dream. And Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned that a person may see his Lord in a dream, in that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) strikes an example for him according to his adherence to the religion. That is, he sees a good vision, which helps him in adhering to the religion and continuing in what he is upon. So Allah knows best. I refrain from saying that a person sees his Lord in a dream in a true sense. But if Allah the Exalted strikes an example for him to show him his adherence to his religion, then that is not strange. Yes.
