The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah preserve you: A person visits his relatives, and these relatives have some prohibited matters, for example, what is called a dish. It is known that they are aware that the ruling on this is forbidden. So, should he cut off visiting them, or should he visit them?
The Shaykh : If he has relatives, then maintaining ties with relatives is obligatory, even if they are in a state that is not pleasing, because Allah the Exalted said:[Luqman 31:14-15] Listen [Luqman 31:15] "strive against you" means: they insisted upon you and argued with you to associate partners with Allah.
