If a woman miscarries one month after the beginning of her pregnancy, is the continuous blood post-natal bleeding or corrupt blood, and does she pray?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence! This is a woman asking, O Shaykh. A woman miscarried one month after the beginning of her pregnancy.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : One month after the beginning of her pregnancy.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : Does she pray, given that the blood coming out of her may continue for fifteen or twenty days? I read a fatwa of yours in one of the books stating that this blood which comes out before the completion of four months and before the completion of the fetus is considered corrupt blood, and that the woman prays in this case, and that she has the right to combine prayers in this case. What is your opinion, Your Eminence?

The Shaykh : This is my opinion, which is what you read. That is to say: if a pregnant woman miscarries after one or two months, then this blood is corrupt blood. It does not prevent her from prayer, fasting, or intercourse with her husband. She may combine the two prayers if it is difficult for her to perform the ablution for every prayer. The rule in this matter, according to the majority of scholars, is: if a woman miscarries a fetus, and the form of a human being has become apparent in it, then the blood is post-natal bleeding. That is, if its head, hands, and feet have become apparent, then the blood is post-natal bleeding. Otherwise, it is not post-natal bleeding, but rather corrupt blood. The minimum time in which the form of a human being can become apparent is eighty days. The evidence for this is the hadith of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) narrated to us, and he is the truthful and veracious one, and he said:
Indeed the creation of one of you is gathered inside his mother in forty days. Then, for a similar period, he is a clot. Then, for a similar period, he is a piece of flesh. Then Allah sends the angel to him to blow the soul into him إن أحدكم يجمع خلقه في بطن أمه أربعين يوماً نطفة، ثم يكون علقة مثل ذلك، ثم يكون مضغة مثل ذلك، ثم يرسل إليه الملك فينفخ فيه الروح
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2137Sahih (Darussalam)
.
This lump of flesh, Allah the Exalted has stated in the Qur'an that it may be formed or unformed. Therefore, before eighty days, the blood cannot be post-natal bleeding. Why? Answer: because it has not yet become a lump of flesh; it is a clot. After eighty days, it becomes a lump of flesh. This lump of flesh may be formed or it may not be formed. But if it reaches ninety days, the general rule is that it will be formed. The general rule is that if it reaches ninety days, it will be formed. Yes, I understood.
