What is the ruling on praying over a man who killed his wife and then killed himself?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says, "O Shaykh, a questioner asked: A man killed his wife and then killed himself. Is he to be prayed over?"

The Shaykh : Yes, he is to be prayed over, because killing oneself does not take one out of Islam. The evidence that it does not take one out of Islam is the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He:
O you who have believed, prescribed for you is legal retribution for those murdered - the free for the free, the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. But whoever overlooks from his brother anything
[Al-Baqarah 2:178]
from his brother. He made the killer a brother to the one killed. If it had taken him out of Islam, he would not have been his brother. But the matter is severe; that is, even though it does not take one out of Islam, the punishment is severe. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says:
But whoever kills a believer intentionally - his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him and has cursed him and has prepared for him a great punishment.
[An-Nisa 4:93]
Five punishments: Hellfire, and abiding therein, the anger of Allah upon him, His cursing him, and He prepared for him a great punishment.
So the matter is not light, but it does not take one out of Islam. He is to be prayed over, and supplication for forgiveness is made for him, and the favor of Allah is vast.
No, no, just say that the people in Unaizah have no right to ask.
