What is the ruling on one who says, "I will not give zakah except with the intention of seeking blessing"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Some people say: "I do not give zakah on my wealth, or I do not give charity, except with the intention of growth"

The Shaykh : Except with the intention of what?

The questioner : Except with the intention of the growth of this wealth and the blessing in it. So what is your guidance?

The Shaykh : There is no harm, there is no harm, but his intention is, in reality, very delayed. Otherwise, the intention of these things is something Allah has drawn attention to. Noah said to his people:
(10) And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. (11) He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers (12) And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.
[Nuh 71:10-12]
. Did he intend by what he mentioned to them to encourage them to do this for this reason? But it is undoubtedly a deficient intention.
Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Charity does not diminish wealth
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2029Sahih (Darussalam)
to encourage people.
Then he said, more clearly than this:
Whoever loves to be prolonged in his lifespan and to have his provision expanded, let him maintain the ties of kinship.
. Allah the Mighty and Majestic did not make these worldly benefits except as an encouragement for people. And if they are encouraged by them, they will intend them. But if one intends the Hereafter, he will obtain the worldly life, as the Exalted said:
Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest
[Ash-Shuraa 42:20]
meaning: We will give him the worldly life and the Hereafter. Yes, please.
