Are there specific times for maintaining family ties such that if I exceed them, I fall into sin?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah reward you. Are there specific times regarding maintaining family ties such that if I exceed them, I enter into what is forbidden? Whether it is a week, a month, or six months, if I exceed these periods, do I fall into sin?

The Shaykh : Maintaining family ties, may Allah bless you, has no limit, neither in duration nor in manner, nor in the means by which one connects, whether money, clothing, or otherwise.
The texts came with the command to maintain family ties in an absolute sense. So whatever people consider maintaining ties, that is maintaining ties, and whatever they consider cutting ties, that is cutting ties. And thus circumstances differ.
People may be in a state of poverty and relatives may have great needs, so in that case, one must support them with money and keep an eye on them. Some relatives may be sick and need visiting, so one must visit them. And if people are in a state of well-being and health, as is our case now, praise be to Allah, and do not need such things, the important thing is that maintaining family ties is left to the custom of people. It is not left to any specific person. It is left to the custom of people, not to any specific person. Yes.

The questioner : And if the situation is good, meaning there is no poverty or...?

The Shaykh : Absolutely not, praise be to Allah, according to what is customary. For example, if you call them on the phone once a month, or twice a month, or every week, according to the situation.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : Yes.
