Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Abu Kuraib and Harun ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Abu Asamah narrated to us from al-Walid ibn Kathir, who said: 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar narrated to me that Ibn 'Umar narrated to them:
That a man called out to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in the mosque, saying: "O Messenger of Allah, how do I perform the witr of the night prayer?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever prays, let him pray in pairs. If he feels that the morning is approaching, let him prostrate once, and that will make his prayer odd."
Abu Kuraib said: 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abd Allah, and he did not say Ibn 'Umar.
