The Book of the Prayer of the Traveler and Its Shortening-06a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, saying: Hafs and Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us from al-A'mash from Abu Sufyan from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If anyone is afraid that he may not get up in the latter part of the night, he should observe Witr in the first part of it; and if anyone is eager to get up in the last part of it, he should observe Witr at the end of the night, for prayer at the end of the night is witnessed (by the angels) and that is preferable. من خاف أن لا يقوم من ءاخر الليل فليوتر أوله ومن طمع أن يقوم ءاخره فليوتر ءاخر الليل فإن صلاة ءاخر الليل مشهودة وذلك أفضل
Sahih Muslim 755a
And Abu Mu'awiyah said:
Mu'hadhdharah محضورة
