The Book of the Prayer of the Traveler and Its Shortening-07a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Hajjaj ibn al-Sha'ir narrated to me, and Muhammad ibn Ja'far al-Mada'ini, Abu Ja'far, narrated to us, and Warqa' narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir from Jabir ibn 'Abdullah, who said:
I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey, and we came to a place to dismount. He said, "Will you not dismount, O Jabir?" I said, "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) dismounted and I dismounted. He said, "Then he went to relieve himself, and I prepared water for his ablution." He said, "So he came and performed ablution, then stood up and prayed in a single garment, crossing its ends over each other. I stood behind him, so he took my ear and placed me on his right side."
