The questioner : He says: A group of people performed Hajj and completed all the rites of Hajj. When they wanted to perform 'Umrah after completing the rites, one of the pilgrims with them said there was no need to perform 'Umrah, for their Hajj was complete, so they did not perform 'Umrah. It is known that they were performing Hajj alone (ifrad) and it was the first time they were performing this obligation. Is their Hajj complete or not? And if it is not complete, what is required of them in this matter? May Allah guide you to serve Islam and the Muslims?

The Shaykh : Their Hajj is complete as long as they performed the prescribed matters in it, and performing 'Umrah is not a condition for the completeness of Hajj. However, 'Umrah is obligatory upon them, since they had not performed it before, if they have the means to do so.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : So whenever they are able to travel to Makkah to perform 'Umrah, at any time, it becomes obligatory for them to perform it.

The questioner : Yes, you have done well, may Allah reward you.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached the end of this session, in which we presented the questions of the honorable Awda Khadr Salim from Amman, Jordan, and Abd al-Rahman Muhammad al-'Asiri from France, and Ali al-Zahrani from al-Madinah al-Munawwarah, and 'Ajji Ahmad Shami al-Hayli from al-Qunfudhah. We presented these questions and inquiries to His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen, professor at the College of Sharia in al-Qassim, and imam and preacher of the Great Mosque in al-'Unayzah.
Thank you to His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad, and thank you to you, ladies and gentlemen. Until we meet again with your presence, we entrust you to Allah. Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
