The Book of Jumu'ah, the Two 'Eids, Istisqa', the Eclipse, and Funerals-05b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Abu Ghassan al-Masm'i and Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to me, saying: Mu'adh, and he is Ibn Hisham, narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, from Qatadah, from Ata' ibn Abi Rabah, from Ubayd ibn 'Umayr, from A'ishah,
That the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed six rak'ahs and four prostrations أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ وَأَرْبَعَ سَجَدَاتٍ
.

The Shaykh : This is an anomalous hadith, because it contradicts the many authentic hadiths. For this reason, al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) turned away from it and did not include it in his collection.
