Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Abu al-Kamil al-Juhdri narrated to me, and Abu 'Uwanah narrated to us from Ya'la ibn 'Ata from Abu 'Alqamah, who said: Abu Hurayrah narrated to me, from his mouth to my mouth, that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). And 'Ubayd Allah ibn Mu'adh narrated to me, and my father narrated to us. And Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us, and Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, and they both said: Shu'bah narrated to us from Ya'la ibn 'Ata, who heard Abu 'Alqamah, who heard Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), similar to their hadith.

The Shaykh : In this hadith, it says: "from his mouth to my mouth." It was expected that it would be said: "from his mouth to my ear," as in another previous wording. The answer is that we say: his intention is that he narrated it to him face-to-face. Face-to-face means mouth to mouth.
