Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. مالك يوم الدين
[Al-Fatihah 1:4]
, saying "Malak yawm al-din," or breaking the ba in the phrase of Allah the Exalted
You alone we worship إياك نعبد
, saying "Iyyaka na'bidu," in addition to his errors in recitation after Surat al-Fatihah and his failure to recite with tajwid, knowing that I am also unable to maintain the congregation if I do not pray behind these people?

The Shaykh : There is no power or strength except with Allah. It is not permissible for these people to be appointed as imams in the mosques, and it is obligatory for the authorities to do one of two things: either teach these people so that they establish the speech of Allah, or replace them with others. As for keeping them as imams for the Muslims while they make these errors, some of which change the meaning and some of which do not change the meaning but change the wording, it is not permissible to keep them.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : As for your prayer behind them, if the movement of the tongue changes the meaning and this imam does not establish it, pray with others; do not pray behind them, because he disrupts a pillar of the prayer.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : As for if the change in the movement of the tongue does not change the meaning, there is no blame on you for praying behind him, but as we said first, it is not permissible to keep these people as imams for the Muslims.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Yes.
