Ruling on the ma'mum reciting al-Fatihah behind the imam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Is it obligatory for the ma'mum to recite al-Fatihah behind the imam? And what is the authenticity of the hadith: (The recitation of the imam is the recitation for those behind him)?
Yes, this is a matter in which the scholars have differed, with multiple opinions. We will mention the main points of view, which are: The first opinion: that there is no recitation required of the ma'mum in any case, neither in the secret prayers nor in the loud prayers.By way of argument with this hadith that you referred to: (Whoever has an imam, the recitation of the imam is his recitation).

The second opinion: That it is obligatory in all cases, in both the secret and the loud prayers; due to the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family): (There is no prayer for one who does not recite al-Fatihah of the Book) and because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned away one day from the Fajr prayer,So he said: (Do you perhaps recite behind your imam? They said: Yes.
He said: Do not do so except with the Mother of the Quran, for there is no prayer for one who does not recite it).

The third view: A middle position between the two opinions, stating: if the prayer is a loud prayer, the recitation of the imam is the recitation for those behind him, and for this reason they say "Ameen" in response to his recitation of al-Fatihah,If he completed it, they said: saying "Ameen" with him, and this indicates that his recitation is their recitation. But if the prayer is a secret prayer, then it is necessary for the ma'mum to recite al-Fatihah.
And what appears to me is that reciting al-Fatihah is obligatory in the secret and the loud prayers, except in one case, which is if a person enters the prayer and the imam has already bowed, then reciting al-Fatihah is dropped from him in this rak'ah. Likewise, if he enters before the bowing but is unable to complete al-Fatihah until the imam bows, then he bows and it is dropped from him in this case.
