Benefits of the Hadith: (I am only a human being, and you bring your disputes to me...)

The Shaykh : In this hadith is evidence of the humility of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his statement: meaning, and I do not know the unseen. It also indicates that he did not know the unseen during his lifetime, so how could he know it after his death? It also contains the mercy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to His creation in that He established rulings based on appearances: "I only judge based on what I hear." Even if it were a mistake, "I only judge based on what I hear." It also provides evidence that eloquence in argumentation—where eloquence means deviation from grammatical inflection—has an impact on the ruling.
