(30) Indeed, you are to die, and indeed, they are to die. (31) Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, before your Lord, will dispute.
And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die - would they be eternal?
Among its benefits is the comfort of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), due to His saying:
(30) Indeed, you are to die, and indeed, they are to die. (31) Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, before your Lord, will dispute.
Among its benefits is the warning to these deniers that they have an appointment with the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), which is the dispute on the Day of Resurrection.
Among its benefits is that the people of shirk (associating partners with Allah) and kufr (disbelief) are opponents of the people of tawhid (the oneness of Allah) and faith in the Hereafter, just as they are opponents in this world. In this world, their opposition and enmity toward one another is severe, and in the Hereafter, it is more severe and greater.
Among its benefits is that creation will dispute before Allah on the Day of Resurrection. It is known that when the dispute is between a believer and a disbeliever, it is the believer who disputes. Allah the Exalted said:
Allah will judge between [all of] you on the Day of Resurrection, and never will Allah give the disbelievers over the believers a way [to overcome them].
Among the benefits of this noble verse is the affirmation of the Resurrection and the Reckoning, due to His saying:
Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, before your Lord, will dispute.
Then Allah the Exalted said:
