Is it permissible to cite the phrase (and they agreed with each other) as evidence for the permissibility of forming factions?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If someone cites the hadith:
and they agreed with each other وتطاوعا
as evidence for the permissibility of forming factions in calling people to Allah?

The Shaykh : If someone cites the phrase:
and they agreed with each other وتطاوعا
as evidence for the permissibility of forming factions, we say that this contains evidence for the prohibition of forming factions. Because if each of them were to act alone according to his own opinion, each would become a faction. But if they agreed with each other and united, they would become a single faction. Yes.

The questioner : The chapter on responding to the ruler's invitation. And Uthman ibn Affan responded to the invitation of a slave of al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah. Musaddid narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us from Sufyan, Mansur narrated to me from Abu Wa'il from Abu Musa from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said:
Set free the captives and accept invitations. فكوا العاني وأجيبوا الداعي
Sahih al-Bukhari 7173
.

The Shaykh : Responding to the ruler's invitation is permissible in principle, and the evidence for this is the generality of the hadith: "Respond to the one who invites you."
