Benefits from the Hadith

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And in the hadith are the following jurisprudential issues: the permissibility of repeating a surah or a verse, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) approved of it and did not disapprove of it. So if a person repeats a verse or a surah, there is nothing wrong with it. Often, a verse from the Book of Allah strikes a person, whether for its meaning, its wording, or something similar, and he repeats it. We say that there is nothing wrong with this. However, if he repeats it a specific number of times that he makes a habit of, that requires a specific ruling. For example: if a person intends to recite "Say, He is Allah, the One" one hundred times, and makes it a daily routine to recite it one hundred times every day, what do we say? It is a religious innovation. But if he recites it without a specific number, then every time he recites it, we say this is not a religious innovation, nor is it forbidden, nor is it disliked. And Allah knows best.
