The questioner : Some people say "Allah is able" instead of "Allah is capable."

The Shaykh : There is no harm, but it is better to say "capable." For this reason, Isa (peace be upon him) rebuked his people when they said:
can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven? [Jesus] said," Fear Allah هل يستطيع ربك أن ينزل علينا مائدة من السماء قال اتقوا الله
[Al-Ma'idah 5:112]
