Do the people of innovation have their narrations rejected absolutely?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The reports mentioned earlier state that the Imams reject the people of innovation absolutely. So, do we say that if a person is a scholar of the people of innovation, but he studies a science that is not related to creed, for example, language or inheritance, then what is the ruling?

The Shaykh : The correct view, which has become established among the hadith scholars, is that if the innovation is one that entails disbelief, then the narration of its adherent is not accepted absolutely. If it is one that entails open sinfulness, then his narration is accepted if he is trustworthy, provided that what he narrates does not support his innovation, in which case it is not accepted due to the suspicion regarding that matter. This is what has become established, as stated in Nukhbat al-Fikr.

The questioner : ... ؟

The Shaykh : Yes, but there are two things to be feared in this matter:
First, these innovators possess intelligence and acumen, and most of them have eloquence. It is feared that they will lure these people into their innovation, at least through examples, if they are studying, for example, grammar.
Second, if a trustworthy person were to frequent them, people would be deceived by that and think that they are upon the truth. Therefore, caution must be exercised to the extent possible.
And praise be to Allah, the knowledge they possess may be found with others from the people of the Sunnah.
