The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Abu Ghassan al-Masm'ī, Malik ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab, said: 'Abd al-Malik ibn al-Sabah narrated to us from Shu'bah from Waqid ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar from his father from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.

أمرت أن أقاتل الناس حتى يشهدوا أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمدا رسول الله ، ويقيموا الصلاة ، ويؤتوا الزكاة فإذا فعلوا عصموا مني دماءهم وأموالهم إلا بحقها وحسابهم على الله
