In this hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) answered the questioner with concise words, whereas in other instances he mentioned the pillars of Islam for him. How is this?

The questioner : The Bedouin, when ... knowledge that would enter him into Paradise ...?

The Shaykh : May Allah reward you. We have spoken at length about how the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) answers every person according to their specific situation. The man who said, "Advise me," was told:
Do not get angry لا تغضب
It is well known that the general advice for all creation is the advice to fear Allah (Mighty and Majestic). For this reason, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent an amir to lead an army or a detachment, he would advise him to fear Allah. Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) answers every person according to what suits their situation. A questioner might ask, "Which deed is best?" and he would say, "Jihad in the path of Allah," while saying something different to another person. This is a principle or issue that a person should be mindful of: that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) may address each person with what is appropriate for their condition, unlike when he speaks without being asked, in which case he mentions the fundamental principle.

The questioner : Is there an indication in this hadith to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Then We made you follow a way of life ثم جعلناك على شريعة ...
?

The Shaykh : It is an indication to many verses; this is derived from many verses.
