The Book of Faith-07a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Yahya ibn Yahya narrated to us, saying: I read to Malik from Abu al-Zinad from al-A'raj from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The summit of unbelief is towards the East and the pride and conceitedness is found among the owners of horses and camels who are rude and uncivil, people of the tents, and tranquillity is found among those who rear goats and sheep. رأس الكفر نحو المشرق ، والفخر والخيلاء في أهل الخيل والإبل الفدّادين أهل الوبر ، والسّكينة في أهل الغنم
Sahih Muslim 52d

The Shaykh : This is a warning against those who come from the east. For this reason, the Dajjal comes from the east, and likewise Gog and Magog come from the east. So, generally, the east is more severe than the west. But if someone says: The east is relative; the east of one group is the west of another group? We say: The consideration is based on the place where the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke.
