The reciter: And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah and Abu Bakr ibn Khalad al-Bahili narrated to me, and they said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, and Shu'bah narrated to us from Waqid ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd, that he heard his father narrating from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said during the Farewell Pilgrimage:

Woe to you! Do not turn back into disbelievers after I am gone, striking one another’s necks.

ويحكم -أو قال: ويلكم- لا ترجعوا بعدي كفّارًا ، يضرب بعضكم رقاب بعضٍ
