The reciter: Harimah ibn Yahya narrated to me, and 'Abd Allah ibn Wahb informed us, saying: "Umar ibn Muhammad narrated to me that his father narrated to him from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) something similar to the hadith of Shu'bah from Waqid."
The Shaykh : This hadith contains what was mentioned previously, that fighting a believer is disbelief. For this reason, it is said:Sahih Muslim 65 Here, the verb must be in the nominative case (mudaf 'alayh), and it is not correct for it to be the answer to a request; thus, in the nominative case, it is an attribute describing the word "disbelievers."
In this hadith, there is evidence that there is no harm in asking people to be quiet to hear what is being delivered, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to Jarir: meaning: ask them to be quiet so that they may listen to what is being delivered to them, and that is because of its importance. For this reason, it is said in the hadith in the second wording: do not return after me as disbelievers.
