The Reciter: And 'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-'Azim al-'Anbari narrated to me, saying: An-Nadr ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: 'Ikrimah, who is Ibn 'Ammar, narrated to us, saying: Abu Zamil narrated to us, saying: Ibn 'Abbas narrated to me, saying: It rained on the people during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sahih Muslim 73 He said: So this verse was revealed: [Al-Waqi'ah 56:75] until it reached: [Al-Waqi'ah 56:82]
The Shaykh : These verses:As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 65:582 begin with an oath. The most correct opinion regarding the "la" here is that it is for emphasis, and that the verse is in the way of affirmation, not in the way of negation. The oath is a means of emphasizing a thing by mentioning something of great importance, and it is one of the methods of emphasis and strengthening in the Arabic language. We know that the Qur'an was revealed in the Arabic language, so it follows the style of the Arabs.
: The place of their falling is like their setting and rising. Allah the Exalted swore by them in connection with the thing sworn to, which is the Qur'an, because the Qur'an was revealed gradually at specific times and periods.
Al-Mustadrak lil-Hakim 25:1087 So "great" is a description of the oath, but this intervening phrase was placed between it and its described to indicate that this is a very great oath, but we do not know its full magnitude due to the limitedness of our knowledge and our lack of insight.
That is: the thing about which He swears, is noble, abundant in good, and abundant in blessing, and the noblest of every thing is its best part, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Mu'adh: Sunan Abi Dawud 1584Sahih (Al-Albani) And it is not hidden from anyone the nobility of this noble, great Qur'an.
Meaning: That the Qur'an is in a hidden book, meaning: the Preserved Tablet. Is what is in the hidden book the Qur'an itself, or is its mention intended? Both meanings are possible: One is that what is intended is the mention of the Qur'an, not the Qur'an itself, but its mention through praise of it, explaining the time of its revelation, to whom it is revealed, what its fruits will be, and the like.
And this is not far-fetched, as Allah the Exalted said: And it is known that the noble Qur'an is not in the scriptures of the former peoples in its wording; what is in the scriptures of the former peoples is its mention and speaking about it. This supports the opinion that the Qur'an was revealed from Allah the Exalted to Jibril to Muhammad, and He (Exalted and Majestic is He) spoke it when it was revealed.
Meaning: Preserved, as other verses have explained.
Meaning: No one touches this book except the purified ones, who are the angels, whom Allah has purified from all impurity. For this reason, it is said: The angels are purified from all impurity, and the devils are immersed in all impurity and filth. And the children of Adam have both in them; they have good in them and impurity in them, as Allah the Exalted said:
And whoever argues with the noble verse that the Qur'an is not touched except by the purified ones, there is no basis for his argument with that, for if that were the intended meaning, it would be "no one touches it except the purified ones," like His saying: But the intended meaning is the angels.
Yes, if he intends that it is not touched except by the purified ones by way of necessity or analogy, that if the Preserved Tablet is not touched except by the purified ones, then the Qur'an is even more deserving of not being touched except by a purified person.
And in it is an indication that the noble Qur'an is not benefited from except by one who purifies his heart from shirk (associating partners with Allah), hatred, and enmity, so that he is pure and capable of understanding the meanings.
Musnad Ahmad 107Dai'f (Darussalam) Meaning: The revelation of this can be a predicate for a deleted subject, meaning: It is a revelation. And it can be a description of the Qur'an: A noble Qur'an in a hidden book, no one touches it except the purified ones, a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. The first is more likely, that it is a predicate for a deleted subject.
And is Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And if it is said attributed to , the intended meaning of "the worlds" is everyone other than Allah.
Meaning: The Qur'an. And this is a question of denial and rebuke, meaning: Do you compromise regarding the Qur'an, while you are the most elevated by it? No one compromises except a weak, humiliated, low, and base person. And whoever is with the Qur'an is a scholar, and it is never permissible for him to compromise with it. Is it with this hadith that you are compromising?
And the difference between compromising (mudahanah) and tact (mudar'ah) may be difficult for some people, but the difference is that tact is from "dar'" which is repelling, and it is repelling the opponent until you reach what you want. Meaning: It does not mean that you compromise and cancel what you want, but you repel him until you reach what you want. And this is included in His saying:Sunan al-Bayhaqi 10:698
And as for compromising (mudahanah), it is agreement, taken from "dahn" (fat/oil), because fat makes things soft. For this reason, skins are anointed with it to soften them. So a person softens before his opponent and agrees with him and turns away from what he wanted, and it is similar to hypocrisy.
Musnad Ahmad 677Sahih because of corroborating evidence; this is a da'eef isnad] (Darussalam) The scholars said: Meaning: You are ungrateful for your provision, which is the gift. So you attribute the provision to other than Allah. Like their saying: We were rained upon by the star of so-and-so.
Some people entered the morning with gratitude and some with ingratitude (to Allah). Those who entered with gratitude said: This is the blessing of Allah, and those who entered with ingratitude said: Such and such asterism was right.
أصبح من الناس شاكر ومنهم كافر، قالوا: هذه رحمة الله، وقال بعضهم: لقد صدق نوء كذا وكذاThen I swear by the setting of the stars,
فلا أقسم بمواقع النجومAnd make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]?
وتجعلون رزقكم أنكم تكذبونThe Shaykh : These verses:
So I swear by the stars as they fall
فلا أقسم بمواقع النجومAnd the falling of the stars
ومواقع النجومAnd it is indeed a great oath, if you only knew
وإنه لقسم لو تعلمون عظيمIf you only knew

And indeed, it is in the scrolls of the former ones

لا يمسهThe evil women are for the evil men, and the good women are for the good men
الخبيثات للخبيثين والطيبات للطيبينAnd whoever argues with the noble verse that the Qur'an is not touched except by the purified ones, there is no basis for his argument with that, for if that were the intended meaning, it would be "no one touches it except the purified ones," like His saying:
And if you are in a state of major ritual impurity, then purify yourselves.
وإذا كنتم جنبا فاطهرواYes, if he intends that it is not touched except by the purified ones by way of necessity or analogy, that if the Preserved Tablet is not touched except by the purified ones, then the Qur'an is even more deserving of not being touched except by a purified person.
And in it is an indication that the noble Qur'an is not benefited from except by one who purifies his heart from shirk (associating partners with Allah), hatred, and enmity, so that he is pure and capable of understanding the meanings.
