The reciter: And Mansur ibn Abi Muzahim narrated to us, and Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to us. And Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn Ziyad narrated to me, saying: Ibrahim, meaning ibn Sa'd, informed us, from Ibn Shihab, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayrah, who said:

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked, "Which deeds are the best?" He said, "Faith in Allah." He said, "Then what?" He said, "Jihad in the path of Allah." He said, "Then what?" He said, "An accepted Hajj."

سئل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أي الأعمال أفضل؟ قال : إيمان بالله ، قال : ثم ماذا ؟ قال: الجهاد في سبيل الله قال: ثم ماذا؟ قال: حج مبرور

And in the narration of Muhammad ibn Ja'far, he said:

Faith in Allah and His Messenger.

إيمان بالله ورسوله
