The Shaykh : He said: "And know that interpreting the attribute of Presence (Mu'ayyah) according to its apparent meaning, in the reality befitting Allah the Exalted, does not contradict what is established regarding the Exaltation of Allah the Exalted with His Essence above His Throne, and this is from three aspects:
The first: That Allah the Exalted has combined them for Himself in His clear Book, which is free from contradiction, and what Allah has combined in His Book, there is no contradiction between them, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:[An-Nisa 4:82] And whatever in the Qur'an you think contains contradiction as it appears to you, reflect upon it until it becomes clear to you, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted: [An-Nisa 4:82] " .
Do they not then reflect upon the Qur'an? This is a restriction urging Allah Mighty and Majestic that we should reflect upon the Qur'an, especially when verses pass us that appear to contradict each other, because Allah says:[An-Nisa 4:82] " If it does not become clear to you, then follow the path of those firmly grounded in knowledge, who say: [Ali 'Imran 3:7] And the matter is left to its place which He knows " All of it, meaning He has entrusted it to Him, yes " And know that the deficiency is in your knowledge or in your understanding " If you find something contradictory in the Qur'an as it appears to you, this indicates what? A deficiency in knowledge, or a deficiency in understanding, or a lack of reflection. But our discussion is about the one who reflects; sometimes a person reflects and reflects and reflects, and a doubt remains with him. So we say that this is a deficiency. But what is our position if we are unable to reconcile them? We say: We believe in it, all of it is from our Lord. And what is from Allah cannot possibly contradict or conflict with itself. " And to this aspect the Shaykh al-Islam alluded in his previous statement: As Allah has combined them " .
The first: That Allah the Exalted has combined them for Himself in His clear Book, which is free from contradiction, and what Allah has combined in His Book, there is no contradiction between them, due to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction.
ولو كان من عند غير الله لوجدوا فيه اختلافاً كثيراًThen do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction.
أفلا يتدبرون القرآن ولو كان من عند غير الله لوجدوا فيه اختلافاً كثيراًDo they not then reflect upon the Qur'an? This is a restriction urging Allah Mighty and Majestic that we should reflect upon the Qur'an, especially when verses pass us that appear to contradict each other, because Allah says:
