Continuation of the discussion on the fourth chapter: "The fourth chapter on demonstrating the validity of the methodology of the Salaf and the invalidity of the claim that the methodology of the Khalaf is superior in knowledge"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We want to prove that the methodology of the Salaf is the correct methodology, and this is from two angles:
The first is that the methodology of the Salaf is indicated by the Book and the Sunnah. What is indicated by the Book and the Sunnah is correct without doubt, and what is not indicated by the Book and the Sunnah is not correct.
If someone says: "Everyone claims a connection to Layla." The Salaf say, "We are upon the Book and the Sunnah," and the Khalaf also say, "We are upon the Book and the Sunnah." For this reason, they claim for themselves that they are from the people of the Sunnah. So everyone claims a connection to Layla; what is the ruling? The author said: "For whoever follows their path with knowledge and fairness." These are two great words. Whoever follows it with knowledge and fairness, taking caution from whoever follows it with ignorance. The ignorant person’s judgment is not accepted because he is not a scholar, so his judgment is not accepted among the people. And fairness, because some people have knowledge and know that the methodology of the Salaf is the correct one, but they have injustice and oppression that they do not acknowledge; they do not acknowledge the truth. It is not possible for one who wants to judge unless he has knowledge, and what else? Fairness. As for the absence of knowledge, how can he judge? And in the absence of fairness, there is no safety in his judgment; he may judge with falsehood because he is not fair. But whoever follows the path of the Salaf with knowledge and compares it to the Book and the Sunnah, and with fairness such that he has no desire or injustice, says: "Whoever follows it in that manner found it to be in accordance with what is in the Book and the Sunnah, in general and in detail, in general and in detail, without exception." That means it is necessary, it is necessary that it be in accordance with the Book and the Sunnah in general and in detail. Why?
