Explanation of the author's statement: ". . . And as for the specific [type], it is that which necessitates victory and support for the one to whom it is attributed, and it is exclusive to those who deserve it among the messengers and their followers."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said "And as for the specific [type], it is that which necessitates victory and support for the one to whom it is attributed, and it is exclusive to those who deserve it among the messengers and their followers". This specific [type] necessitates victory, but it is not itself victory; rather, it necessitates victory, support, protection, and guardianship for the one to whom it is attributed. And this specific [type] may be attributed to specific individuals, or it may be attributed to specific individuals by their descriptions. That is, it may be attributed to specific individuals by their persons, or it may be attributed to specific individuals by their descriptions. Let us look at the examples we have. He says: "This companionship necessitates for the one who believes in it perfect steadfastness and strength. Among its examples is the saying of the Exalted
and [that is] because Allah is with the believers.
[Al-Anfal 8:19]
"

The student: ...

The Shaykh : By their descriptions, or by their persons?
The student: By their descriptions.

The Shaykh : By their descriptions, yes. Second,
Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good.
[An-Nahl 16:128]
likewise by their descriptions. No,
Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.
[Taha 20:46]
by their persons. And this was said by Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to Musa when he said
Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." ربنا إننا نخاف أن يفرط علينا أو أن يطغى
[Taha 20:45]
meaning Pharaoh said
Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear
[Taha 20:46]
what he says and what you say to him
And I see وأرى
what he does to you, so do not fear. And likewise His saying about His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us.
[At-Tawbah 9:40]
. This one, yes, but is it specific by descriptions or by person?
The student: By person.

The Shaykh : By person. And this was said by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to Abu Bakr
And they were in the cave, in the cave of Thawr, having hidden from the pursuit of Quraysh. And they remained in the cave for three days. So when they stood at the cave, Abu Bakr said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah, if one of them looked at his feet, he would see us.
meaning so I am afraid
Don't grieve for Allah is with us.
Sahih al-Bukhari 3615
When he said this, Abu Bakr would be reassured and steadfast, and he would know that they would not catch the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) nor his companion. And this is the reality. As for what is famous among some people that a spider placed a web on the cave, this has no authenticity. And likewise what they mentioned that a pigeon also fell on the cave, on the door of the cave, so that if they saw the pigeon they would say, "If there were men, the pigeon would not have landed on it." This also has no basis. For this reason, people often ask about killing spiders: is it permissible or not? If I tell them it is permissible, they say, "How is it permissible?! Do you not fear Allah? This spider protected the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and placed its web on him, and its reward is that we kill it?" Is this anything but as the poet said:
"His sons rewarded the father of Ghaylan for his arrogance *** And good deed, as Sanmar is rewarded"
Yes, but we say this is not correct. Therefore, there is no harm in killing spiders. In fact, it was mentioned in a hadith
That the Messenger ordered their killing.
but it is weak. There is no harm in killing them if they annoy, because sometimes they annoy, especially in offices. They come to a library and nest on the books. Yes, unless we say that if they nest on the books, we give them a gift, because this one says, "Do not neglect them," right?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Heh, it protects them, or it says you must pay attention to them in your reading.
