If it is said that the Salaf did not speak on the issues of the attributes, must we remain silent as they remained silent?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If it is said that the Salaf did not speak...?

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : Remain silent as they remained silent...?

The Shaykh : Yes, the answer to this is that the Salaf did not discuss them because nothing occurred in their time that necessitated speaking about them. So, leave them as the implications of the Arabic language indicate, because the Qur'an was revealed in the Arabic tongue. For this reason, you will not find among the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) any deep discussion like what you find in the words of the Tabi'un and those after them. Because if a matter is not raised and discussed, it remains as it is. Therefore, you will not find their speech reaching the level of depth that existed among the later scholars. Yes.
