Is there any guidance in a word to the brothers regarding being kind to servants?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : By giving a word of guidance to the brothers to be kind to their servants, for it is a good thing, and regarding their service?

The Shaykh : Yes. It is obligatory for the Muslim to adorn himself with noble character and to show mercy to these servants, who may have left their families behind. Perhaps a woman has come with children in her home country, or she has come with her mothers to seek a livelihood. It is obligatory that they show mercy to them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Be merciful on the earth, and you will be shown mercy from Who is above the heavens. ارحموا من في الأرض يرحمكم من في السماء
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1924Hasan (Darussalam)
And what does this person know? Perhaps a day will come when circumstances will reverse, and he will be a servant, or one of his descendants will be a servant. Furthermore, these are Muslims; how can you humiliate them when they are your brothers? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself. لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه
Sahih al-Bukhari 13
However, it is customary that they are not included in this; this follows the custom.
And on this occasion, I warn my Muslim brothers not to bring in those who are not Muslims. I say: strive with utmost effort to ensure that the servants are Muslims. If it is a woman, it is necessary that she has a mahram (a relative one may not marry) with her, especially if there are young men in the house and the servant is young. The danger is great. If her mahram is with her, the woman is respected, and also her mahram serves as a refuge for her. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, O honorable Shaykh, and may Allah bless you and your knowledge, and benefit Islam and the Muslims through you.
