Explanation of the Book of Purification-16

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And from Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him):
A man asked the Prophet (ﷺ), “Should I perform ablution after eating mutton?” He replied, “If you wish so”, he then asked, “Should I perform ablution after eating camel meat?” He (ﷺ) said: “Yes”. أن رجلاً سأل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أتوضأ من لحوم الغنم ؟ قال : إن شئت ، قال : أتوضأ من لحوم الإبل ؟ قال : نعم
Bulugh al-Maram 75
Reported by Muslim"
:
This is what is said regarding what was mentioned previously in terms of the question.
He said:
whether he should perform ablution after (eating) mutton أتوضأ من لحوم الغنم
Sahih Muslim 360a
meaning if he ate it, so he said to him:
If you wish إن شئت
meaning: If you wish, perform wudu, and if you wish, do not perform wudu.
Should I perform ablution (after eating) camel's flesh? He said: Yes أتوضأ من لحوم الإبل ؟ قال : نعم
Sahih Muslim 360a
meaning: It is obligatory for you to perform wudu, and the basis for our saying that it is obligatory for you to perform wudu is that he conditioned the wudu from the meat of sheep on his will, and this necessitates that he has no will regarding the eating of camel meat, and that it is obligatory for him to perform wudu.
The questions have come, may Allah make them good.
