Explanation of the Book of Prayer-02

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said: “And Muslim narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) to the same effect. He said:
Sajdah سجدة
in place of
One rak'ah ركعة
then he said: And the sajdah is nothing but the rak’ah”
His statement: “He said:
Sajdah سجدة
in place of
One rak'ah ركعة
”
could mean that it was the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) who said it, or it could mean that it was the narrator who said it. However, he explained this by saying: “And the sajdah is nothing but the rak’ah” because prostration (sujud) is used to refer to the entire prayer, as in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. فاسجدوا لله واعبدوا
[An-Najm 53:62]
Consequently, its meaning is the same as the meaning of the previous hadith, the hadith of Abu Hurayrah.
